Harriet was called in 2001 and joined Chamber in May 2003. Harriet Seal practises criminal and general common law. She specializes in criminal, immigration and family law.

Criminal Work

• She prosecutes and defends in the Crown Court, Youth and Magistrates Courts on a number of matters including violence, sexual offences, dishonesty, drugs, Public Order and driving offences.
• She undertakes a wide variety of work including Crown Court trials, Youth and Magistrates Court trials, appeals from the Magistrates' Court, PDH's, Sentences, legal arguments on admissibility and abuse of process and applications including for bail, extension of custody time limits and special measures. She has dealt with sensitive issues including those involving children and vulnerable witnesses.
• Her recent cases include robbery, burglary and assault and wounding.
• She undertakes all types of defence work and prosecutes for the CPS and both private and public bodies.
• Written advice on evidence and appeal can also be provided.

Immigration & Family Law

• Harriet undertakes both Immigration and Asylum Law in both the IAA and IAT. Written Advice on merits and Appeal is also available.
• Family Law work includes both Children Act Proceedings and Divorce. She appears in the County Court, High Court and Family Proceedings Court.
